Refund a customer

1 - Login to Giftpro
Login to the Giftpro admin area.

Once you’re logged in, locate the order you wish to refund via the search field or by scrolling through the list of orders.

2 - Request a refund
Firstly click the "Actions" button in the fixed top navigation to reveal the available actions for the order and then click "Request a refund". You'll be presented with a dialogue box that allows you to control your refund request.

3 - Specify refund details
Once you've clicked the "Request refund" button a dialogue box will appear which allows you to specify the details of the refund you are looking to achieve.

4 - Select the vouchers/tickets you're refunding
You can select the vouchers/tickets you wish to refund by ticking the checkboxes next to the voucher/ticket name. You also have the option to refund the delivery charge - simply select the check box next to the delivery value.

5 - Enter your name and a reason for the refund
It's important to add your name and a reason for the refund for future reference. This information is saved as part of the order history.

6 - Confirm the refund request
Finally, you need to confirm the refund request by clicking the 'Request refund' button. This will issue the refund request and once processed you and your customer will receive a confirmation email.

What happens next?

1 - We'll send you a notification email
Once the refund has been processed and authorised you will receive a confirmation email notifying you that the refund has been successful. (see below)

2 - We'll send your customer a notification email
To save you some time, your customer will be automatically notified via email as soon as the refund is issued. (see below)

For offline orders?

* Please be aware we can only process a refund for orders placed online by the customer, or via the create an order process.


If an order is processed offline, the transaction has taken place outside of Giftpro. In this scenario, the client would be responsible for refunding the customer via the original payment method. You would then simply submit a refund request, as per the steps above and we would void the order and add this as an offline refund.
